Technology with Literacy
Literacy and technology is almost hand in hand in this century. We usually type and blog instead of writing and sending notes. The use of technology with literacy has increased expentionally over the last few decades. Writing essays for school and for other reasons without technology by hand is almost a dying art. The use of technology is very useful lor organizational literacy and also very useful for communicating the literacy/work of an individual between multiple people.

it is astonishing to notice how literacy does change with each generation. out generation is definitely ruled by technology and the internet. without it we would not have been able to research or produce those powerpoint presentations. technological literacy has definitely been our crutch for the past decade. with the passing of each year we tend to lean on it more and more. one day handwriting will be a foreign concept.
ReplyDeleteI really like your comment about how you said writing essays for school without technology is almost a dying art. I definitely agree with this statement; I can't remember the last time I wrote an essay on paper.
ReplyDeleteI agree about handwriting being a dying art too. It seems like more of a chore for students now because of the impact of technology.
